Nevins park

Today we went to Nevins Park on Statesville Rd. WOW! What a great park. This is a handicap accessible park so Lil G was able to be strolled up to the top with Big G. There was a toddler area and an older kid area. Part of the park was set up as a racetrack with wooden racecars, tools and tires. Gavin had a blast sliding down the slides, swinging in the big swings, playing with the piano like chimes (those were probably the COOLEST), running over the swinging bridges made from old tires and running on the racetrack.
After playing for a while we had a picnic lunch under the shelter but didn't last very long with all of the bees flying around. Overall, Nevins park is definitely a do again park. Here are a couple pictures from the park.

Next week we are going somewhere closer to home, Chantilly Park. If you are local and are interested in joining us next week for our park visit, please feel free to meet the Gmen and Momma Milgate at Chantilly park around 10:00 am (I say around because we are normally late everywhere we go!).
